The company was founded in 1983 by Michele Magnisi, a young entrepreneur who has been involved in transportation from a very young age, learning the trade, above all, from his older brothers, Giovanni and Pasquale. After various corporate experiences, he decided to establish Magnisi Michele srl, facing the difficulties and uncertainties that always accompany new businesses. Michele, better known in the industry as "Michelino," puts his previous experiences to good use and, thanks to his ability to relate to customers and suppliers, begins the growth phase of the new company. He does this by surrounding himself with capable collaborators and calls to his side the one who will remain his longtime partner, Leo Pedone, who also comes from long experience in the field of trucking, despite his young age.
The 1980s was a period of steady growth for Magnisi Michele Ltd. The company established itself as one of Puglia's leading road transport players, serving Italian and European clientele, in the food transport sector.
Today, after 40 years of growth and innovation, Magnisi Michele s.r.l. is one of the important players in the field of road freight forwarding, although "Michelino", who passed away in 2021, is no longer at the helm.
Michele Magnisi, was born in Bari in 1944 into a family that has always been involved in transportation, and after various experiences in this field, also following in the footsteps of his older brother Giovanni, he founded the company that bears his name in 1983. It is difficult, however, to separate the figure of the man from that of the company, for almost 40 years Michele, universally known as "Michelino," wisely led his company, assisted by his longtime partner Leo Pedone, not only with the flair of the good entrepreneur but also with the "diligence of the good family man." Beloved by his employees, appreciated and esteemed by customers and suppliers, "Michelino" represented the head and heart of the company. A fervent believer, he never neglected his commitment to the weak and needy; his great humanity enabled him to immediately empathize with all the people who got to know him. He left a great legacy, not only the company that bears his name, but a school of thought, a way of living and managing work, the ability to share the victories and the, inevitable, defeats, the appreciation of the work of others and the ability to mediate. Today, we are all "children" of Michelino, we mourn his memory but proud to have been able to share with him, the path of growth of Magnisi Michele Ltd. National and International Transportation, a creature of his own.
